Architect - Software Developer

For our client, we are seeking a Architect - Software Developer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will shape the technical direction of cloud-native software solutions, with a strong focus on scalable platform services, APIs, and microservices. The architect will partner closely with Product and Clinical teams to deliver reliable workflow solutions and guide engineering practices that improve performance, quality, and delivery. This is a hands-on architecture role that also supports code reviews, mentoring, and operational readiness across production systems.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $135,000 – $160,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Design and scale platform services, APIs, and microservices
• Drive architectural decisions for healthcare platforms
• Collaborate with Product and Clinical teams on workflow solutions
• Ensure reliability, scalability, and quality of production systems
• Implement modern engineering practices such as CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code
• Utilize AI-augmented development tools throughout the SDLC
• Engage in code reviews and on-call support
• Mentor engineers and guide technical practices

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience in production environments
• Proficient in Java, Python, or similar modern programming languages
• In-depth knowledge of cloud-native architecture and distributed systems
• Experienced in designing and optimizing relational/SQL databases
• Skilled in creating RESTful APIs and microservices
• Strong testing, TDD, and software quality practices experience
• Familiar with AI-augmented development tools like GitHub Copilot and Claude Code
