[ ABOUT THE COMPANY ]

SModi Infrasteel Pvt. Ltd. is a growing manufacturer of Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings (PEB), specializing in design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, and erection of industrial steel structures.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Architectural AutoCAD Draftsman who can independently prepare architectural layouts, proposal drawings, building plans, elevations, sections, and detailed AutoCAD drawings for industrial buildings, factories, warehouses, and PEB structures.

The ideal candidate should have strong architectural drafting skills, excellent command of AutoCAD, and the ability to convert client requirements, sketches, and conceptual layouts into accurate technical drawings.

[ KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES ]

01 | ARCHITECTURAL PLANNING & LAYOUT DEVELOPMENT

▪ Prepare architectural floor plans and conceptual layouts for industrial buildings, warehouses, factories, and PEB sheds.

▪ Develop preliminary building layouts based on plot dimensions, client requirements, and available site information.

▪ Prepare site layouts showing building positioning, boundary walls, entry and exit gates, internal roads, setbacks, and circulation areas.

▪ Plan internal building arrangements, including production areas, storage spaces, office blocks, utility rooms, and loading/unloading zones.

▪ Prepare architectural drawings considering practical space utilization, access requirements, and operational functionality.

▪ Incorporate client modifications and revise drawings accordingly.

02 | PEB PROPOSAL & GENERAL ARRANGEMENT DRAWINGS

▪ Prepare professional AutoCAD proposal drawings for Pre-Engineered Steel Buildings.

▪ Develop General Arrangement (GA) drawings in coordination with the PEB design and estimation teams.

▪ Prepare building plans, roof plans, elevations, cross-sections, and longitudinal sections.

▪ Show building dimensions, bay spacing, column grids, clear heights, roof slopes, and architectural features.

▪ Incorporate mezzanine floors, canopies, framed openings, doors, windows, louvers, skylights, and ventilation systems.

▪ Prepare preliminary drawings for client presentations, technical discussions, and approvals.

03 | ARCHITECTURAL ELEVATIONS & BUILDING APPEARANCE

▪ Prepare front, rear, and side elevations for industrial and commercial PEB buildings.

▪ Develop attractive and functional facade concepts using metal cladding, glazing, louvers, and architectural features.

▪ Prepare detailed drawings for entrance canopies, office facades, rolling shutters, windows, and other architectural elements.

▪ Coordinate exterior wall finishes, roofing profiles, and facade materials with the technical team.

▪ Ensure consistency between architectural plans, elevations, and structural arrangements.

04 | SITE DEVELOPMENT & CIVIL COORDINATION DRAWINGS

▪ Prepare site development layouts showing roads, parking, boundary walls, entry gates, and open spaces.

▪ Prepare preliminary layouts for civil foundations, flooring, plinth levels, and external development in coordination with civil engineers.

▪ Coordinate architectural drawings with structural grids, foundation locations, and PEB column positions.

▪ Incorporate building setbacks, fire access provisions, and other applicable planning requirements as instructed by the project team.

▪ Revise layouts based on site conditions, client feedback, and engineering requirements.

05 | DRAWING DOCUMENTATION & REVISION CONTROL

▪ Prepare accurate, properly dimensioned, and professionally presented AutoCAD drawings.

▪ Maintain standardized drawing layers, line weights, annotations, dimensions, and title blocks.

▪ Prepare drawing submission sets for internal review and client approval.

▪ Maintain drawing revision histories and approval records.

▪ Ensure drawings are properly organized, updated, and issued to the concerned departments.

▪ Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, estimation engineers, project managers, and clients to resolve drawing-related queries.

[ REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS ]

✓ Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD 2D is mandatory.

✓ Strong knowledge of architectural drafting, floor planning, elevations, and sections.

✓ Experience preparing industrial building layouts and PEB proposal drawings.

✓ Ability to interpret architectural sketches, site plans, and engineering drawings.

✓ Understanding of industrial building planning, column grids, roof slopes, and clear height requirements.

✓ Knowledge of building setbacks, circulation planning, and basic industrial architectural requirements.

✓ Familiarity with MS Excel, PDF drawing documentation, and technical reporting.

✓ Knowledge of AutoCAD 3D will be an added advantage.

✓ Good understanding of drawing scales, dimensioning standards, and drafting accuracy.

[ CANDIDATE ELIGIBILITY ]

Educational Qualification:

▪ Diploma in Architectural Assistantship / Architecture / Civil Engineering.

▪ B.Arch / B.Tech Civil Engineering or equivalent technical qualification.

▪ ITI Draftsman (Civil) candidates with strong relevant experience may also apply.

Experience:

▪ Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience preferred.

▪ Candidates with previous experience in PEB companies, industrial architecture, warehouse planning, or steel building design will be given preference.

Professional Competencies:

▪ Ability to independently prepare architectural and proposal drawings.

▪ Strong attention to detail and dimensional accuracy.

▪ Ability to manage multiple drawing assignments and meet deadlines.

▪ Good communication and interdepartmental coordination skills.

▪ Willingness to work in a manufacturing-oriented engineering environment.

[ WHAT WE EXPECT ]

We are looking for a candidate who is not limited to basic drafting but can understand the complete architectural requirements of an industrial building and translate them into technically accurate, practical, and professionally presented drawings.

The candidate should be capable of independently handling drawings from the initial client enquiry stage through proposal development, revisions, and final architectural drawing submission.
