What they need
About Us
Hitomo Construction builds and rebuilds landed homes across Singapore. We work closely with homeowners, architects and engineers to deliver quality homes on time, safely and within budget.
The Role
You will make sure that what gets built on site matches what was designed and approved. You will manage the drawings between the architect, engineers, homeowner, site team and subcontractors – so everyone is always working from the correct, latest drawing, and problems are caught on paper before they become expensive mistakes on site.
What You Will Do
- Drawings – Prepare and update architectural drawings, working drawings, details and as-built drawings in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
- Coordination – Coordinate architectural drawings with structural and M&E (mechanical & electrical) drawings; spot clashes and missing information and resolve them with the consultants.
- Authority submissions – Work with the architect / Qualified Person (QP) to prepare and track authority submissions and approvals (URA, BCA, CORENET X, SCDF, PUB, NParks where applicable).
- Rules check – Check designs against URA landed housing guidelines (e.g. storey height, setbacks, attic and basement rules) and building regulations.
- Shop drawings & materials – Review subcontractor shop drawings (windows, doors, staircases, railings, cabinets, etc.) and material submissions against the approved design.
- Homeowner support – Prepare simple layouts, 3D views and material/finishes schedules to help homeowners understand and confirm their choices.
- Site support – Handle design queries (RFIs) from site, issue clarifications quickly, and visit site to check that work follows the drawings.
- Drawing control – Keep a drawing register so the latest revision is always clear; record design changes and flag any that affect cost or time (variation orders).
- Handover – Prepare as-built drawings and handover documents at project completion.
What We Are Looking For
- Diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Building or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in architectural drafting or coordination, ideally on landed homes projects.
- Strong ARCHICAD skills; We only look for candidates who can use archicad.
- SketchUp or similar 3D tools for homeowner presentations is a plus.
- Good knowledge of URA landed housing guidelines and the authority submission process.
- Able to read and cross-check architectural, structural and M&E drawings.
- Detail-oriented and organised – catches mistakes before they reach site.
- Clear communicator with consultants, homeowners and site teams.
