Architectural Coordinator

General Responsibilities

Coordinate architectural works among Consultants, Subcontractors, Main contractor, and Project Stakeholders.

Review architectural drawings, shop drawings, method statements, and material submissions to ensure compliance with project specifications and authority requirements.

Monitor site progress and ensure architectural works are executed according to approved drawings, quality standards, and construction schedules.

Identify design, interface, and constructability issues and coordinate timely resolutions with relevant parties.

Attend site coordination meetings and prepare technical reports, progress updates, and issue logs.

Support project planning and sequencing of Architectural Activities to minimize delays and rework.

Staircase Works Coordination

Coordinate installation and construction of staircases,including reinforced concrete staircases, precast stair flights, handrails,balustrades, finishes, and associated architectural elements.

Verify staircase dimensions, levels, alignment, headroomrequirements, and interface with structural and MEP works.

Conduct inspections to ensure staircase works comply withapproved drawings, safety regulations, accessibility requirements, and projectquality standards.

Coordinate and resolve site issues related to staircasefinishing works such as tiling, nosing installation, painting, and handrailfixing.

Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure completion ofstaircase works within project milestones.

POB (Prefabricated Bathroom Unit/Pod) Works Coordination

Coordinate POB/PBU installation activities with structural,architectural, and MEP trades.

Review POB shop drawings, production drawings, andinstallation procedures before site implementation.

Monitor delivery, storage, lifting, positioning,installation, and protection of POB units on site.

Ensure dimensional accuracy, alignment, waterproofingintegrity, and interface coordination between POB units and surroundingarchitectural finishes.

Coordinate inspections, testing, and defect rectificationworks related to POB installations.

Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to resolvetechnical and installation-related issues.

Architectural Finishes & Quality Control

Supervise architectural finishing works including wallfinishes, floor finishes, ceilings, doors, ironmongery, painting, and joineryworks.

Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance withproject specifications, approved samples, and quality requirements.

Prepare and manage inspection requests, punch lists,snagging records, and defect tracking reports.

Coordinate mock-up reviews and material approvals withconsultants and clients.

Ensure proper protection of completed architectural worksand monitor rectification of defects.

Documentation & Handover

Maintain accurate records of shop drawing approvals,inspections, technical submissions, and site instructions.

Prepare as-built documentation and support project handoveractivities.

Assist in obtaining consultant approvals and statutoryclearances related to architectural works.

Coordinate final inspections, defect closure, and projectclose-out requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or Diploma in Architecture, Building, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

Minimum 5 years of experience in architectural coordination for large-scale building projects.

Strong experience in staircase works, architectural finishes, and site Archi Coordination.

Proficient in AutoCAD, BIM/Revit, and Microsoft Office applications.

Good understanding of Singapore Construction Practices, Authority requirements, and quality standards.

Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
