Architectural Design Apprentice

About the role

The apprentice will work closely with the Architect/Design Lead in developing architectural concepts, drawings, presentations, and project documentation from design development through implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and development of architectural plans, elevations, details, and perspectives
• Assist with space planning, design development, and presentation materials
• Prepare and update architectural drawings and project documents
• Assist in site inspections, measurements, and as-built documentation
• Coordinate architectural requirements with engineering, operations, contractors, and other project stakeholders
• Assist in preparing material boards, specifications, and design studies
• Support the design team in ensuring projects comply with approved design standards and requirements
• Participate in project meetings and design presentations
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, and documentation
• Gain practical experience in the various stages of architectural design and project development

About you

• Graduate of BS Architecture or currently completing architectural internship requirements
• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of SketchUp, Lumion, Enscape, Revit, or other visualization/BIM software is an advantage
• Basic understanding of architectural drawings, construction documents, and building materials
• Good visual and design sense
• Willing to learn and take initiative
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
• Good communication and coordination skills
• Willing to conduct occasional site visits
