About the role

The Architectural Designer will contribute to the design and development of SPARK's projects from concept through to site implementation. This full-time, on-site role in Singapore involves preparing design drawings and documentation, supporting urban and architectural design studies, and coordinating with internal teams and external consultants. The individual will assist in design presentations, participate in client and stakeholder meetings as needed, and ensure that design solutions align with project requirements, sustainability goals, and local regulations. The Architectural Designer will also help with design research, material and product selection, and the refinement of details that maintain the quality and integrity of the project. Candidates with relevant work experience, may be considered for a Senior role.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of projects from concept stage to design development.
• Develop design ideas, space planning, façade concepts, material selections, and overall project look.
• Prepare drawings, 3D models, renderings, mood boards, diagrams, and presentation materials.
• Create clear and attractive presentations for clients and internal design reviews.
• Understand the client’s brief and turn it into practical and creative design solutions.
• Attend client meetings and present design ideas clearly.
• Review client feedback and improve the design where needed.
• Work closely with project architects, technical teams, consultants, and suppliers.
• Make sure the design intent is carried through in drawings, models, and technical documents.
• Research suitable materials, finishes, and products for the project.
• Guide and mentor junior architects and designers.
• Help the design team meet project deadlines and quality standards.
• Attend design meetings, coordination meetings, and site meetings when required.
• Help resolve design-related issues during the project.
• Keep project drawings, design documents, meeting notes, and records organised.
• Support project planning, programme coordination, and budget awareness

What we're looking for

• Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to develop concept designs and detailed solutions.
• Proficiency in Drawing and Construction Drawings, including the preparation of accurate plans, sections, elevations, and details.
• Understanding of design principles and their application to site planning and integrated project design.
• Degree in Architecture or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
• Experience with industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite, and relevant AI applications).
• Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Prior experience in complex or large-scale mixed use projects and familiarity with Asian or international project environments is an advantage.
