What they need
About Us
We are a U.S. based, corporate-trained architectural support firm built by industry specialized experts with deep, hands on experience across complex permitting and multiple vertical markets. We give growing architecture firms senior level production capacity: construction documentation, BIM leadership, QA/QC, and code aligned, permit ready drawing sets, without the overhead of a full time hire. We work embedded inside our clients' systems and teams, not as an outside vendor.
Why Work With Us
- Join an energetic, sharp team that genuinely loves architecture and geeks out over clean documentation and well coordinated models. This isn't a role where your craft goes unnoticed.
- 100% remote. Work from anywhere in the U.S., no commute required.
- Variety across live, high complexity projects in Higher Ed, Mixed Use, Commercial, and Custom Residential, so you're never boxed into one building type.
- Real autonomy. You own technical decisions on your assigned work rather than waiting on approval for every move.
- As engagements scale, team members who consistently deliver are the first we call for higher complexity work.
- Work alongside people who take pride in the details and expect the same from you. If you love architecture as much as we do, you'll feel it here.
- Be part of a fast growing company that's structured ahead of its time, built for scale from day one.
The RoleWe're hiring an Architectural Designer II to own specific technical design aspects of assigned major projects, investigating, evaluating, and recommending the solutions that best meet client needs. This is a mid level professional role for someone who applies advanced architectural concepts independently and takes on complex or novel technical problems without needing to be walked through them.
What You'll Do
- Own specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project from start to finish.
- Investigate, evaluate, and recommend design solutions that best meet client needs.
- Provide professional architectural consultation on the planning, design, and coordination of large, complex projects.
- Apply advanced architectural concepts and design approaches independently.
- Take on complex or novel assignments that call for developing new or improved techniques and procedures.
- Mentor less experienced architects and architectural staff as needed.
Skills & Requirements
- B.Arch or M.Arch (NAAB accredited professional degree).
- 6+ years of professional architectural experience, non-negotiable.
- Strong, active Revit skills: coordinating with external discipline models, reviewing and QAQC'ing others' work, and building or managing BIM workflows.
- We provides BIM Collaborate project access for all engagements. Candidates must have their own active Revit license through their own practice or current work. We do not provide Revit licenses.
- Comfortable working inside a new firm's systems, BIM environment, file standards, and cadence, rather than relying on your own.
- Prior experience working directly with a client's internal team: attending meetings and coordinating with PMs.
- Ability to work independently with no hand holding. You should be someone who solves problems and escalates proactively rather than waiting for direction.
- A motivated, business minded approach to contract work. You treat this like running your own practice, not clocking into a job.
What You Bring
- A demonstrated track record of solving technical problems independently, as the one solving them, not as part of a supervised team.
- Ownership of your own projects.
- Strong communication and coordination skills across project managers, architects, and consultants.
- Reliable, self managed remote work habits. This is a fully independent contractor role.
- Prior remote work experience preferred
- Active Revit license
