We're looking for a talented and motivated Architectural Designer / Technician to join our team and play a key role in bringing our clients' dream homes to life.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys both the creative and technical aspects of residential design. You'll have the opportunity to work on projects from initial concept through to building consent, collaborating closely with our sales, construction, and client teams to deliver outstanding homes throughout the Waikato. About the Role

We're flexible in how this role is structured and are open to either full-time or part-time arrangements for the right person. Whether you're looking for a traditional full-time position or a role that offers greater work-life balance, we're happy to tailor the hours to suit your circumstances and experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing innovative and functional residential homes that reflect our clients' needs and aspirations.
• Collaborating with the sales team to provide accurate and efficient design outcomes that help convert opportunities into sales.
• Developing design concepts through to detailed working drawings.
• Produce 3D renders and site plans.
• Preparing and lodging building consent documentation.
• Managing the building consent process and responding to council requests for information.
• Liaising with engineers, surveyors, consultants, and local authorities.
• Ensuring designs comply with the New Zealand Building Code and relevant regulations.
• Supporting continuous improvement of design processes and documentation standards.
• Contributing to marketing initiatives, design presentations, and promotional material where required.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll bring:

• Experience in residential architectural design and drafting.

• ArchiCAD/Revit experience required.

• A strong understanding of the New Zealand Building Code, building consent process, and residential construction practices.

• Proven experience preparing and lodging building consent applications independently.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work across multiple projects.

• Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients, consultants, and council representatives.

• A self-motivated and organised approach, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

• LBP Licence ideal.
