Architectural Draftsman

Job Responsibilities:

· Prepare detailed 2D drawings and shop drawings for furniture, joinery, and interior fit-out works using AutoCAD or other approved software.

· Develop drawings based on approved designs, site measurements, project specifications, and instructions from the Senior Draftsman.

· Coordinate with the Senior Draftsman, Project Engineers, and relevant teams to clarify drawing requirements and resolve technical details.

· Revise drawings as per comments from clients, consultants, project teams and management and maintain proper revision records.

· Ensure drawings include accurate dimensions, materials, finishes, hardware details, and other information required for production and installation.

· Prepare production drawings, cutting details, sections, elevations, and installation details as required for joinery and furniture works.

· Check drawings for accuracy, consistency, and compliance with approved drawings and project specifications before submission.

· Assist with site measurements and update drawings to reflect actual site conditions when required.

· Maintain organized records of drawings, files, and project documentation using the company’s filing procedures.

· Coordinate with production and site teams to provide drawing clarifications and support smooth execution of works.

· Report drawing progress, pending information, and technical issues to the Senior Draftsman in a timely manner.

· Perform other drafting-related duties assigned by the Senior Draftsman or management.

Educational Qualification:

· Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or Drafting Technology.

· ITI / Technical Certification in Draftsmanship or related field will also be considered.

· Additional certification in AutoCAD, CAD software, or furniture/joinery detailing is an advantage.

Skills required:

· Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience as a Draftsman in bespoke furniture, joinery or interior fit-out works.

· Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory). Knowledge of SketchUp, SolidWorks, or other 3D software is an added advantage.

· Hands-on experience in preparing shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and installation drawings for joinery and custom furniture.

· Good understanding of materials, finishes, hardware, joinery details, and manufacturing processes.

· Knowledge of site measurement verification, coordination with site teams, and reflecting actual site conditions in drawings.

· Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and revision control.

· Ability to manage multiple drawings and meet tight project deadlines.
