Architectural Draftsman

Roles and Responsibilities-Minimum Experience is 5-7years

1. Architectural Drawings & Drafting

• Prepare architectural drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop floor plans, elevations, sections, roof plans and detailed drawings.
• Prepare concept, schematic, design development and construction drawings.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings based on approved designs.
• Ensure drawings comply with project specifications and applicable UAE building regulations.
• Revise drawings according to architects' and clients' comments.

2. Authority Submission & Approvals

• Prepare architectural drawings for submission to relevant authorities, including Dubai Municipality, DDA, Trakhees and other applicable authorities.
• Ensure drawings follow relevant authority requirements and submission standards.
• Incorporate authority comments and revise drawings for resubmission.
• Coordinate with the architect responsible for authority approvals.

3. Coordination With Other Departments

• Coordinate architectural drawings with Structural, MEP and Interior Design departments.
• Identify and report drawing discrepancies and design clashes.
• Update drawings based on coordination meetings.
• Ensure architectural drawings are consistent with structural and MEP layouts.

4. Shop Drawings & Construction Details

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings for construction.
• Develop door and window schedules, staircase details, toilet layouts, flooring layouts and finishing details.
• Review contractor shop drawings when assigned, under the supervision of the responsible architect.
• Prepare revised drawings based on approved site modifications.

5. Drawing Documentation & Management

• Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision history and filing systems.
• Ensure all drawings are issued using the latest approved revisions.
• Maintain drawing registers and submission records.
• Follow company CAD standards, templates and documentation procedures.

6. Site Coordination & As-Built Drawings

• Coordinate with site engineers to clarify drawing-related issues.
• Attend site visits when required for measurements and verification.
• Prepare as-built drawings based on verified site information.
• Incorporate approved site changes into final drawings.

7. Quality Control & Accuracy

• Check drawing dimensions, levels, annotations and references before submission.
• Ensure drawings are complete and coordinated.
• Minimize drafting errors and repeated revisions.
• Submit drawings to the architect for checking and approval before external issue.

Pay: From AED5,000.00 per month
