Architectural Draftsman

• Job Purpose

Support the architectural and master planning team in preparing accurate AutoCAD drawings, township master plans, detailed architectural layouts, working drawings and Good for Construction (GFC) documentation for integrated township developments.

• Key Responsibilities

Township Master Planning & Layout Development

• Prepare and update township master plans, land-use/zoning plans, plot subdivisions, road networks, open spaces and infrastructure layouts.
• Integrate survey boundaries, contour/topographical data and site information; prepare area statements, plot schedules and dimensions.
• Revise master plans based on architects’ inputs, consultant coordination and management comments.
• Independently prepare and revise township master plans and associated area schedules.

Architectural Working Drawings & GFC

• Prepare architectural plans, elevations, sections, setting-out drawings, details and GFC documentation.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, landscape and infrastructure disciplines; flag drawing discrepancies.
• Convert design concepts into precise working drawings.

CAD Drafting & Drawing Control

• Maintain CAD layers, blocks, Xrefs, templates, plotting standards, drawing numbering and revision control.
• Prepare technical drawing packages, master plan overlays and organised digital drawing records.

Design Coordination & Support

• Translate architects’ sketches and concepts into accurate CAD drawings.
• Incorporate design changes promptly and support architects and consultants across multiple township projects.
• Manage multiple revisions with accuracy, clear file organisation and timely delivery.
• Required Technical Skills
• Advanced AutoCAD 2D proficiency; township master plan and large-site layout drafting, are preferred.
• Experience in Architectural working drawings and GFC packages for site planning, road and plot layouts, contours and infrastructure coordination.
• Drafting standards, dimensioning, drawing accuracy, revisions and document control are preferred

• Working knowledge of Revit, Civil 3D or SketchUp, Naviswork, BIM

Job Expectations

• Qualifications & Experience
• Diploma in Architectural Draftsmanship, Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent technical qualification.
• 5–10 years of relevant drafting experience; preference for township developers, master planning firms or large-scale real estate architectural consultancies.
• Demonstrated ability to independently handle CAD drafting assignments and coordinate with architects.

Minimum Qualification Diploma in Architectural Draftsmanship, Civil Engineering, Architecture or equivalent technical qualification.

Minimum Job Experience 5–10 years
