Position: Architectural Draftsperson

Location: Port Shepstone, KZN

Company Overview

We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsperson to join our team and assist in the delivery of high-quality architectural projects from concept through to construction documentation.

The ideal candidate will have strong Revit skills, a good understanding of architectural detailing, and an interest in 3D modelling and architectural visualisation.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate architectural drawings and construction documentation using Revit.
• Develop detailed 3D models and architectural renderings for presentations and client communication.
• Assist with concept development, design development and construction documentation.
• Prepare detailed plans, elevations, sections and construction details.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with consultants and other disciplines.
• Assist with revisions and updates to drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain organised and accurate project documentation.
• Assist with site measurements and site visits where required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma, Degree or relevant qualification in Architectural Technology, Architecture or a related field.
• 1–4 years of relevant architectural drafting experience.
• Proficiency in Revit is essential.
• Experience with 3D modelling and architectural rendering is highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is advantageous.
• Good understanding of architectural drawings, construction methods and detailing.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately to deadlines.

Preferred

• Experience in high-end residential architecture.
• Experience producing photorealistic architectural renders and presentations.
• Experience with Revit families, schedules and documentation.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and South African building standards.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating Revit modelling, technical drawings and 3D visualisation.
