JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an experienced Architectural Draftsman with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in building projects to join our engineering consultancy team in Abu Dhabi.

The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in AutoCAD, architectural drafting, detailing, and preparation of technical drawings for building projects. Candidates with prior experience working in an engineering consultancy environment will be preferred.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepare detailed architectural drawings and technical documentation for building projects.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and working drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare architectural drawings based on design concepts, specifications, and project requirements.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, and other engineering disciplines.
• Ensure drawings comply with approved design requirements, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, dimensions, levels, annotations, and detailing.
• Incorporate revisions and comments from architects, engineers, consultants, and project teams.
• Prepare detailed construction and tender drawings as required.
• Assist in preparing drawings for authority submissions and approvals.
• Maintain proper drawing standards, title blocks, layers, scales, and revision records.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve drawing and design-related issues.
• Update drawings based on site conditions, design changes, and client/consultant comments.
• Maintain organized records of drawings and project documentation.
• Support the architectural and engineering teams throughout the project lifecycle.

REQUIREMENTS

• 6+ years of relevant experience in architectural drafting.
• Strong experience in building projects.
• Previous experience with an engineering consultancy is required/preferred.
• Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of architectural plans, elevations, sections, details, and construction drawings.
• Good understanding of building construction and architectural detailing.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with structural, MEP, and other disciplines.
• Strong attention to detail and drawing accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE will be preferred.
• Immediate joiners are strongly preferred.

EDUCATION

Diploma / Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
