Architectural Engineer

Responsibilities

• Developing detailed technical drawings and specifications based on architectural designs and engineering principles
• Collaborating structural engineers, and construction teams to ensure seamless project implementation
• Conducting site assessments and feasibility studies to identify potential technical challenges and propose innovative solutions
• Reviewing and analyzing architectural plans to identify structural, mechanical, and electrical requirements
• Preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and project schedules
• Ensuring all designs and specifications comply with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards
• Managing documentation, including technical specifications, construction details, and material schedules
• Liaising with contractors, suppliers, and consultants to resolve technical issues on-site
• Monitoring construction progress and quality assurance to ensure adherence to design specifications
• Providing technical support during the construction phase and addressing any design modifications required

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline
• Professional registration or certification as an architect or engineer (or eligibility for registration)
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in architectural design or engineering practice
• Strong proficiency in architectural and design software, including AutoCAD, BIM tools, and design visualization software
• Comprehensive knowledge of building codes, construction standards, and regulatory requirements in Malaysia
• Excellent understanding of structural systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and their integration into architectural designs
• Strong technical drawing and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Experience in project coordination and stakeholder management
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
• Preferred experience: Previous involvement in construction projects in Malaysia, experience with sustainable design practices, and knowledge of local materials and construction method
