Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Engineer to join our Design & Engineering team and work remotely on the preparation of architectural shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical drawings for construction and shade structure projects.

The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of AutoCAD, architectural detailing, technical drawings, dimensions, sections, elevations, and construction documentation.

Fresh graduates with strong AutoCAD and drawing skills are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience in architectural drafting, shop drawings, or construction drawings is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD is required.
• Knowledge of Revit, SketchUp, or other design software will be an advantage.
• Ability to understand architectural and structural drawings.
• Good understanding of construction materials, dimensions, levels, sections, elevations, and detailing.
• Good English communication and documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and detailed architectural shop drawings based on approved designs and project requirements.
• Prepare plans, elevations, sections, details, layouts, and construction drawings.
• Develop drawings for tensile structures, shade structures, tents, canopies, awnings, steel structures, and aluminium works.
• Convert design concepts and sketches into detailed technical/shop drawings.
• Prepare drawings with accurate dimensions, levels, annotations, specifications, and material details.
• Coordinate architectural drawings with structural and engineering requirements.
• Revise drawings based on comments received from clients, consultants, engineers, and project teams.
• Prepare drawings for fabrication and installation purposes.
• Coordinate with the Estimation, Engineering, Production, and Project teams to ensure drawings meet project requirements.
• Review drawings for accuracy and identify discrepancies before submission.
• Maintain proper drawing numbering, revision control, and documentation.
• Prepare and submit revised drawings within project deadlines.
• Assist the engineering team with technical documentation and project submissions.

Required Technical Skills

• AutoCAD – Mandatory
• Strong knowledge of architectural drafting and detailing.
• Ability to prepare:
• Floor plans
• Elevations
• Sections
• Roof plans
• Structural/architectural details
• Fabrication details
• Installation details
• Material layouts
• Understanding of drawing scales, dimensions, levels, symbols, and annotations.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
• Knowledge of Revit / SketchUp is an advantage.
• Good Microsoft Office skills.
