Architectural Plans Reviewer / Draftsman (AU Client Short-Term)

You will be required to review submitted architectural plans against the developer's design rules and guidelines, identify non-compliant elements, and provide clear feedback and required amendments.

Other responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Review architectural plans, drawings, elevations, and sections for compliance with developer requirements
• Identify errors, omissions, and design elements that do not meet the required standards
• Provide clear comments and mark-ups for required revisions
• Review amended plans and confirm that required changes have been addressed
• Ensure developer design rules and standards are applied consistently across all submissions
• Maintain accurate records of plan reviews, revisions, comments, and approval status
• Liaise with architects, draftsmen, builders, and other stakeholders regarding plan requirements and revisions
• Escalate complex or unclear design matters for further review
• Assist with maintaining plan review checklists, design guidelines, and review processes
• Perform other architectural drafting, plan review, and design-related duties as required.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience in architectural drafting, building design, or a similar role
• Relevant qualifications in Architecture, Architectural Drafting, Building Design, or related field
• Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans and technical drawings
• Experience reviewing residential architectural plans is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, ArchiCAD, or similar drafting software
• Australian residential architectural or drafting experience is highly preferred.
• Strong understanding of architectural design principles and construction documentation
• Experience in applying design guidelines, standards, or compliance requirements
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to identify discrepancies in plans
• Strong English communication, organisational, and time management skills
