Built Form is a design-driven architecture practice with studios in Chicago, Miami, and North Carolina, and projects located across the country. THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re growing our Chicago and South Florida teams and hiring an Architectural Staff Level I professional with 3–5 years of experience, ideally in the multifamily and commercial markets. Working alongside senior staff and the project architect, you’ll contribute to every phase of project development — programming and concept design through construction documents — with real exposure to construction administration. It’s a role built for someone ready to take ownership of drawing packages, sharpen their technical skills, and grow toward licensure and project leadership.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

– Assist the project architect in preparing design studies and alternatives for team and client review.

– Develop drawings for schematic design and design development in Revit.

– Prepare contract documents — plans, details, sections, elevations, and schedules — with guidance from senior staff.

– Help carry projects through the construction document phase and support the team during construction administration.

– Coordinate your work with consultant drawings and Built Form drawing standards.

– Manage priorities across multiple concurrent projects and communicate progress clearly.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

– Professional degree in architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).

– 3–5 years of professional experience; commercial and multifamily experience preferred.

– Proficiency in Revit (required); working knowledge of AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.

– Strong communication and organizational skills; able to work on multiple projects at once.

– Progress toward architectural licensure (AXP hours / ARE divisions) is a plus.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Salary range: $60,000 – $75,000 per year, commensurate with experience, skills, and studio location.
