Architectural Supervisor I

About the role

This role involves supporting the Department Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising daily operations of the Architecture Department while providing technical leadership to Project Architects and Architectural Staff. You will develop architectural design concepts, oversee project execution, and ensure compliance with schedules, budgets, quality standards, and client requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Department Manager in planning, organizing, and supervising the daily operations of the Architecture Department
• Support the implementation of BU / departmental objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards
• Supervise, mentor, and provide technical guidance to Project Architects and Architectural Staff to ensure high-quality project execution and professional development
• Monitor team workload, attendance, productivity, and performance, providing regular coaching, feedback, and support
• Develop and present architectural design concepts for preliminary projects based on client requirements, project objectives, and company standards
• Ensure design concepts are innovative, functional, cost-effective, and compliant with applicable codes and regulations
• Review and approve architectural drawings, design documents, specifications, and project deliverables before issuance for implementation
• Meet with clients to discuss project requirements, present preliminary design concepts, address concerns, and provide professional recommendations
• Ensure all architectural work complies with applicable building codes, company standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including design revisions, meeting minutes, correspondence, and technical records

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in architecture, design, and project supervision
• Licensed/Registered Architect with strong professional expertise
• Proven experience in design planning, project delivery, and construction management
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and oversee project execution
• Strong understanding of technical standards, construction processes, and project coordination
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
