The role
We're looking for an Architectural Technologist with a strong technical foundation to produce and coordinate construction documents from schematic design through to construction administration. In addition to drafting, we need someone with a firm understanding of building science, detailing, and construction practices.

What you'll do

• Prepare permit and construction drawing sets, details, and specifications.
• Develop wall sections, building envelope assemblies, and construction details.
• Review designs for Ontario Building Code compliance and help prepare permit applications.
• Coordinate with structural, mechanical, and electrical consultants and resolve conflicts.
• Support contract administration: shop drawing reviews, RFIs, site reviews, and deficiency reports.
• Maintain drawing standards, BIM models, and project documentation.

What we're looking for

• Diploma or degree in Architectural Technology (or equivalent)
• 7+ years of experience producing construction documents, with a demonstrated, solid technical background in:
• building construction methods and materials
• building envelope and building science principles
• the Ontario Building Code (Parts 3 and 9)
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
• Ability to manage drawing sets independently and meet deadlines

Assets

• BCIN qualification
• OAAAT membership or Licensed Technologist OAA designation
• AATO member
• Site or construction experience
• Experience with industrial and commercial projects.

Pay: $44,600.00-$91,400.00 per year
