What We’re Looking For:

Are you a passionate ARD Facilitator ready to empower students and schools? Here’s what you’ll need to join our team:

  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field is required. A master’s degree in Educational Leadership, Special Education, or a related discipline is preferred but not required.
  • Certification: Valid Texas Educator Certification is required. Additional certifications, such as Principal Certification or Special Education Certification, are preferred but not required.
  • Specialized Knowledge: In-depth understanding of special education laws, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), and the Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) process is essential.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings effectively and ensure compliance with federal, state, and district guidelines.
  • Additional Requirements: Familiarity with data-driven decision-making, student assessment, and individualized education program (IEP) development. CPR certification is preferred.
  • Language Proficiency: Bilingual preferred but not required.

Your Role:

As an ARD Facilitator in Texas public schools, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs by ensuring a collaborative, compliant, and student-centered ARD process. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate ARD Meetings: Plan, coordinate, and lead ARD committee meetings to develop, review, and revise Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students receiving special education services.
  • Ensure Compliance: Maintain adherence to federal and state special education laws and district policies, ensuring that all ARD committee decisions meet legal requirements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with parents, teachers, administrators, related service providers, and other team members to ensure clear communication and shared decision-making during the ARD process.
  • Support IEP Development: Guide the team in creating IEPs that are specific, measurable, and tailored to each student’s unique strengths and needs, ensuring alignment with academic and functional goals.
  • Monitor Progress: Assist in tracking student progress toward IEP goals by reviewing data, providing recommendations, and ensuring appropriate adjustments are made when necessary.
  • Provide Training and Support: Offer training and support to staff on ARD processes, special education laws, and best practices to ensure consistency and compliance across the district.
  • Maintain Documentation: Ensure all ARD-related documentation, including meeting notices, minutes, and finalized IEPs, is completed accurately and within required timelines.

Your expertise will help students overcome barriers, fostering growth and success in their educational and personal journeys.
