Area Growth Representative

Employment Solutions is hiring an Area Growth Representative for an established consumer products manufacturer covering Missouri and Iowa.

This is a direct hire role based out of Kansas City with a $75,000 base salary plus a robust bonus and commission structure that meaningfully increases total earning potential. In this role, you will drive sales across a two-state territory by growing the number of locations stocking our client's products and increasing sales velocity at existing accounts. You will target small businesses like electrical supply houses, lumber yards, hardware stores, and local grocery chains, building relationships, securing preferential placement, and making sure product is stocked and merchandised correctly. Initially the mix is about 70% new account acquisition and 30% merchandising at existing accounts. Over time, as more accounts convert to stocking locations, the balance shifts toward merchandising, upselling, and off-shelf displays.

About the territory and travel:

This is a two-state territory covering Missouri and Iowa, based out of Kansas City. Expect regular travel across both states with 8 to 10 overnight stays per month on average. What you will do:

• Identify and close new stocking locations across Missouri and Iowa
• Convert non-stocking locations where the product is set up nationally but not carried locally
• Merchandise and maintain existing accounts, secure off-shelf displays, and drive velocity
• Perform product demos and support in-store events, tradeshows, and table days
• Partner with a Regional Growth Support Associate to schedule and prep site visits
• Log daily activity, pipeline, and account signings in Salesforce
• Hit monthly targets for visits and new stocking locations added

What we are looking for:

• 2 to 10 years of field sales, route sales, merchandising, or territory management experience
• Background in CPG, beverage distribution, retail execution, or brokerage strongly preferred
• Experience calling on hardware, automotive parts, electrical, grocery, or convenience channels a plus
• Comfortable working independently, running your own schedule, and hitting KPIs
• Competitive, organized, physically active, and willing to travel
• Good Communication and strong relationship-building skills
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Business-appropriate appearance for customer-facing visits

Compensation and total package:

• $75,000 base salary
• Monthly activity bonuses tied to visit volume and new stocking locations added
