Job description:

About the Project: Jinbi Solar Farm

DT Infrastructure is delivering the 75MW Jinbi Solar Farm in Western Australia's Pilbara region, a landmark renewable energy project on Yindjibarndi Country. Comprising around 160,000 solar panels, the project will supply clean, reliable power to Rio Tinto's operations and play a key role in decarbonising the region while supporting long-term community and economic outcomes.

About the Position

We are seeking a driven Area Manager - Electrical to take overall accountability for the safe, efficient, and commercially successful delivery of an allocated project scope.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead supervisors, subcontractors, and site crews to drive daily operational performance. Success in this role will be measured through outstanding outcomes in HSE, quality, program schedule, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead operational delivery by managing execution plans, project schedules, and multi-discipline site works.
  • Drive site safety and quality through risk assessments, WHS compliance, and lot closures.
  • Oversee commercial outcomes, project budgets, procurement, and subcontractor performance.
  • Provide direct leadership, clear expectations, and regular performance feedback to site crews.
  • Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships to manage expectations and resolve issues.
  • Prepare accurate monthly progress, financial, and risk reports while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Experience and Capabilities

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience delivering large-scale electrical infrastructure or construction projects, preferably in rail, energy, or renewables. Solar Farm experience highly regarded.

  • Strong background in managing area execution plans, project schedules, and multi-discipline construction works.

  • Demonstrated ability to manage commercial performance, project budgets, procurement, and subcontractor contracts.

  • In-depth knowledge of WHS legislation, risk management practices, and quality assurance systems.

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of driving crew accountability, performance, and team capability.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise effectively with clients and authorities
