About the role

We are seeking an experienced Area Manager to join Western Marketing Corporation in a full-time position based in Metro Manila. As Area Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational and commercial performance of multiple retail locations across the assigned area. This is a strategic leadership role that will have a significant impact on achieving sales targets, maintaining brand standards, and driving operational excellence across all sites under your supervision. You will report directly to senior management and play a pivotal role in implementing company strategies at the regional level.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple retail sites within the assigned area, ensuring consistent adherence to company policies and procedures
• Develop and implement strategies to maximise sales performance and meet or exceed revenue targets across all managed locations
• Manage and mentor store managers and supervisory staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to drive team effectiveness
• Monitor financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives to ensure profitability
• Conduct regular store visits and audits to ensure brand consistency, merchandising standards, and customer service excellence
• Identify and resolve operational challenges, implementing corrective actions as needed to improve performance
• Develop and manage promotional campaigns and seasonal initiatives to drive customer engagement and sales growth
• Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular updates to senior management on area performance
• Manage recruitment, training, and retention of retail staff across the area to build high-performing teams
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including local partners, suppliers, and community representatives

What we're looking for

• Proven experience of at least 3-5 years in retail management, ideally managing multiple sites or a geographical area
• Demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving profitability
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach to decision-making
• Sound knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service standards
• Proficiency in budget management, financial forecasting, and cost control
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organisational levels
• Ability to work independently whilst maintaining strong collaboration with head office and peer managers
• Flexibility to travel regularly between assigned locations
• Familiarity with retail management systems
• Preferred: Experience in the retail industry
