Area Manager

Role & responsibilities:

• Drive JLG business growth, customer acquisition and disbursement across assigned branches.
• Set and monitor monthly, weekly and daily business targets for Branch Managers and sales teams.
• Manage and review the performance of multiple branches and ensure achievement of business objectives.
• Identify new markets, villages and customer segments for JLG group formation and business expansion.
• Ensure quality sourcing, proper group formation, customer verification and adherence to credit policies.
• Monitor collections, overdue, PAR and portfolio quality and take corrective action to control delinquency.
• Conduct regular branch visits, centre meetings and field visits to monitor business and operational activities.
• Lead, motivate, train and mentor Branch Managers, Relationship Officers/Field Officers and other sales staff.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and identify training and development requirements.
• Ensure timely loan processing, documentation, disbursement and repayment as per company policy.
• Monitor productivity parameters such as sourcing, login, approval, disbursement, collection efficiency and customer retention.
• Coordinate with Credit, Operations, Collections and other support functions for smooth business operations.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, company policies, JLG/MFI operating procedures and audit requirements.
• Monitor and control operational risks, frauds, customer grievances and process deviations.
• Prepare and review MIS and provide regular business updates to the Regional/Zonal Head.
• Support recruitment, onboarding and manpower planning for branches under the assigned area.
• Build strong relationships with customers and local stakeholders to strengthen market presence.
