Area Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Area Manager to inspire and support our three nurseries, and oversee the opening of a further two settings in the coming years . As an integral part of our management team, you will oversee daily operations, drive performance, and ensure exceptional practice across your designated areas. Duties

• Supervise managers in all nurseries
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members to reach their full potential through coaching and performance management
• Implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with the EYFS and all agencies
• Monitor performance and practice across all nurseries
• Conduct regular site inspections to maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational standards
• Oversee staffing schedules, recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives
• Resolve escalated family or employee issues promptly with a focus on positive outcomes

Skills

• Proven supervising experience with a track record of managing teams effectively
• Strong management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and delegate responsibilities confidently
• Demonstrated leadership qualities that inspire teamwork and drive results
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with staff, families and directors
• Flexibility to adapt in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Previous experience in a similar role, overseeing settings with a minimum good/expected standard from ofsted inspections.
• Experience of managing a setting during an ofsted inspection

This role is subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two satisfactory references.

Pay: From £19.00 per hour
