Area Operations Manager

Whether your background is in logistics, transport, manufacturing, distribution or industrial operations, this is an opportunity to lead a complex regional operation where people leadership matters as much as commercial results.

What you'll be responsible for

• Leading and developing high-performing operational teams across the Wellington region
• Creating a safe, inclusive and engaged workplace culture
• Delivering strong financial, service and operational outcomes
• Driving continuous improvement across production, logistics and customer service
• Building strong relationships with customers, contractors and key stakeholders
• Supporting change initiatives while keeping people informed, involved and supported
• Ensuring operational excellence across safety, quality, compliance and fleet performance

What you'll bring

• Senior leadership experience within logistics, transport, supply chain, manufacturing, construction materials or industrial operations
• Experience leading geographically dispersed or multi-site teams
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, costs and performance
• A collaborative leadership style that inspires trust, accountability and engagement
• The ability to balance people, customers and commercial priorities
• Excellent communication, coaching and relationship-building skills
• A focus on developing talent and helping others succeed
