Area Operations Manager

• The Role Focus: Multi-unit retail operations management, team leadership, P&L execution across 10 plus Showrooms , and operational/project readiness for upcoming store launches (focusing strictly on setup, logistics, and execution rather than business development or real estate acquisition).
• Role & responsibilities :

The Operations Manager will drive operational excellence, sales performance, and standard compliance across an established portfolio of 10 retail stores in Dubai. In addition to daily store optimization, this role will spearhead the operational launch framework and project execution for new store openings, ensuring seamless transition from hand-over to trading readiness.

Preferred candidate profile

Multi-Store Operations (10 plus Showrooms)

• Performance Management: Monitor, analyze, and elevate key performance indicators (KPIs) including sales targets, conversion rates, basket size, and shrinkage across all 10 assigned stores.
• Operational Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), visual merchandising guidelines, customer service benchmarks, and health & safety regulations.
• Team Leadership: Coach and mentor Store Managers, conduct regular performance reviews, and build robust second-line retail leadership.
• Inventory & Supply Chain: Coordinate closely with warehousing and procurement to optimize stock replenishment, minimize waste/loss, and maintain optimal inventory levels across locations.

New Store Openings (Operational/Execution Focus - Non-BD)

• Pre-Opening Readiness: Manage the end-to-end operational checklist for new store launches once the real estate/lease is secured (No Business Development or leasing duties).
• Setup & Logistics: Oversee store fit-out coordination, initial stock deployment, equipment setup, IT/POS system integration, and visual merchandising alignment.
• Hiring & Training: Partner with HR to recruit, onboard, and train new store teams ahead of launch dates.
• Launch Execution: Direct soft/grand opening operational execution, ensuring smooth public onboarding and adherence to launch timelines and budgets.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Experience: 610 years of total retail operations experience, with at least 34 years managing multiple store locations (5+ stores) simultaneously within the UAE/Dubai market.
• Skills: Strong financial acumen (P&L management), exceptional project management for store launches, and deep knowledge of UAE retail logistics and labor rules.
• Education: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Availability: Currently based in Dubai with a valid UAE driving license.
