Area Operations Manager - Talent Squad

Key Responsibilities

For the first year, the incumbent will support the Global HR Head in interviewing and assessing candidates for Store Roles, post which the individual will be absorbed into the system as a regular Area Operations Manager.

Driving Sales and Customer Service

a. Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly/annual territory sales plans.
b. Enhance customer service standards to improve NPS.
c. Drive a culture of high sales performance (SALES leadership).
d. Motivate and inspire the field team to deliver results.
e. Review financial performance to identify improvement opportunities.
f. Act as a strategic planning linkage between Corporate and field operations.
g. Translate corporate goalsfinancial returns, sales growth, market shareinto business plans.
h. Assess field capability and set group-level performance priorities.

Manpower Planning & People Development

a. Work with HR and Store Managers to ensure adequate staffing.
b. Drive professional development of Lenskart Associates.
c. Identify and prioritize management skill gaps for development.
d. Conduct formal and informal performance evaluations.
e. Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and continuous learning.
f. End-to-end responsibility for associate development.

Managing P&L of the Assigned Stores

a. Manage territory and store budgets to ensure profitability.
b. Effectively manage top-line and bottom-line performance.
c. Reduce shrinkage across stores.
d. Improve staff productivity.
e. Drive cost-effective operational improvements.

Managing & Maintaining High Standards of Retail Operations

a. Conduct regular store visits to:

• Audit stores
• Coach Store Managers
• Motivate staff through sales discussions
• Check VM and stock availability
• Ensure hygiene, grooming, attendance, and discipline

b. Analyze performance data prior to visits:

• Sales trends
• Productivity metrics
• Staffing
• Supply & demand management
• Shrinkage
• NPS and MC scores
• Progress toward performance targets

c. Bridge communication between management and store teams:

• Recommend changes based on store visits
• Ensure timely reporting of data
• Implement regulations and process changes
• Participate in regional and corporate meetings for skill enhancement

Inventory Management

a. Ensure product availability across stores.
b. Maintain balanced inventory levels and make key inventory decisions.
c. Oversee regular physical verification.
d. Ensure store staff understand POS systems.
e. Ensure timely quality checks for new products.
f. Reduce shrinkage at store level.
g. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless product flow and excellent customer experience.

• Full-time Post Graduate with 79 years of retail experience (mandatory)
