Area Surveyor (Surveying Technical Associate)

The Area Surveyor shall be responsible for updating the measurement of both selling and non-selling areas in the stores as a requirement in the computation of the following:

• Profitability of the division and brands
• Sales Productivity of brands
• Rental charges to Affiliate and Concessionaire brands with MGR rates
• Rental charges for Tenants with fixed rent per square meter

1. Area Measurement

• Takes measurement of the selling areas for all store locations on a monthly basis and properly records the information

• Takes measurement of the non-selling areas (back of house areas such as offices, employee’s lounge, comfort rooms, locker areas, hallways, mechanical and electrical rooms, etc.) for all store locations as necessary and properly records the information

• For new stores:

  • Takes measurement of the entire store area
  • Validates measurement against the Lease Contract
  • Validates measurements based on the layout prepared by the Store Planning and Development (SPD) Department once setup of furnishing has been completed

• Accepts request forms from Merchandising/ Concessionaires used in recording changes in the area measurements

• Ensures that request forms are duly signed and approved by the Merchandise Manager and Concessionaire’s authorized representative

2. Monitoring and Report Preparation

• Reports the results of area measurement
• Performs store visits to check changes in the area measurements
• Ensures that any occupied space not approved by Merchandising or
• Concessionaire are immediately reported to the Store Planning and Development Manager
• Computes area measurement for layout preparation
• Coordinates with Store Planning and Development for any updates on the store renovation plans

Qualifications:

• with a Bachelor's degree in Architecture or other related fields
• with background in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Lumion
• Adequate written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to understand and calculate basic scientific and mathematical data
• Considerable knowledge on handling measuring instruments
• Willing to report onsite in Makati and conduct store visits
