Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Argon Welder (TIG Welder) with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in stainless steel welding and fabrication. The ideal candidate must have strong technical knowledge of TIG welding, excellent welding skills, and the ability to produce high-quality, precise, and clean welds.

As our primary focus is stainless steel fabrication, we require an experienced professional who can work independently, follow technical drawings, maintain high-quality standards, and collaborate effectively with our fabrication team.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform TIG (Argon) welding on stainless steel sheets, plates, pipes, tubes, and fabricated components.
• Carry out welding work according to technical drawings, measurements, and specifications.
• Ensure strong, clean, smooth, and visually appealing weld joints with minimal defects.
• Handle different grades and thicknesses of stainless steel as required.
• Prepare materials for welding, including cutting, grinding, cleaning, alignment, and fit-up.
• Select appropriate welding parameters, filler rods, and techniques based on the material and job requirements.
• Perform tack welding, joint preparation, and final welding with proper precision.
• Maintain proper control of heat input to minimize distortion, warping, and discoloration.
• Inspect completed welds for cracks, porosity, undercut, and other welding defects.
• Coordinate with fabricators, fitters, supervisors, and other team members to complete jobs on schedule.
• Maintain welding equipment, tools, and work areas in good condition.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and maintain quality standards throughout the fabrication process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5–8 years of proven experience in Argon (TIG) welding.
• Strong practical experience in stainless steel welding and fabrication.
• Good knowledge of TIG welding techniques, filler materials, and welding parameters.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurements.
• Experience working with different stainless steel thicknesses and joint configurations.
• Ability to achieve neat, consistent, and high-quality weld finishes.
• Good knowledge of material preparation, fit-up, and welding defect prevention.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail, time management, and commitment to quality.
• Knowledge of welding safety procedures and proper use of PPE.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in stainless steel fabrication projects.
• Experience welding SS 304 and SS 316.
• Experience with stainless steel pipes, tubes, sheets, frames, tanks, railings, or custom-fabricated products, depending on project requirements.
• Experience producing welds with a high-quality finish for visible stainless steel surfaces.
