Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of premises using CCTV systems, access control systems, and physical security measures to deter unauthorized activity
• Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to identify suspicious behavior or security breaches
• Manage access control by verifying identities, performing background checks, and issuing passes for authorized personnel and visitors
• Respond promptly to emergency situations including fire alarms, medical incidents, or security breaches by following established emergency response procedures
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security events, breaches, or accidents with clarity and accuracy
• Perform conflict de-escalation techniques and conflict management to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety
• Operate specialized equipment such as Tasers, firearms (where licensed), AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform first aid or CPR as needed during emergencies
• Assist law enforcement agencies during investigations or when performing background checks on individuals involved in incidents
• Conduct thorough searches and manual handling of items or individuals following safety protocols to prevent harm or theft

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
• Valid certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use; firearm handling licenses where applicable
• Knowledge of surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring systems
• Familiarity with access control systems and performing background checks for personnel or visitors
• Strong communication skills with the ability to write comprehensive incident reports clearly and accurately
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely when required for patrolling or equipment management
• Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts effectively while maintaining professionalism under pressure
• Commitment to compliance with all security regulations and procedures to ensure a safe environment for all stakeholders
