Job Description

Our risk and consulting group, under Allied Universal® Enhanced Protection Services, is hiring a RST Agent (Armed).   The Protective Agent is responsible for protecting the principle at the local residence in Menlo Park, CA as well as assist the EP team during travel details. This position is a hybrid position that requires travel on a rotational basis. Agents will work 12-hour shifts and must be able to work days, nights, weekends and holidays as needed. Rotation is 5 days on and 5 days off but can vary based on the client’s travel schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Interact with principal(s), clients, staff and others in a way that is professional, courteous and in compliance with policies and procedures. This role has a high volume of direct interaction with the principal.
• Basic residential security duties
• Successfully complete training on a weekly, monthly and annual basis
• This detail focuses heavily on training in various skills. Examples below:
  • Monthly range days
  • Taser training
  • Negotiation courses
  • Insider Threats & Hotel Inspection training
  • Red Team training
  • CME – Continued Medical Education monthly – course varies
  • EMR skills – quarterly
  • Lifeguard training
  • UTV and off-road training
  • Boat and jet ski training
  • 40 hours annually of Executive Protection & Intelligence Services training courses
    • Defensive Tactics & Use of Force
    • EP Handgun course
    • Emergency Casual Care
    • EP Defensive & Security Driving Course
  • Responsible for providing armed protection of client’s main residence as well as client’s housing during travel
  • Support EP team by conducting advances locally as well as on travel details – domestic and international
  • Conduct ongoing threat, rick and vulnerability assessments

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 4 years’ experience in a residential security capacity or related military experience
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• California Guard Card and Exposed Firearm permit is required
• CCW is preferred
• Profiency in firearms
• Medical experience is desired
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts on days, nights and weekends as required
• Ability to travel – domestic and international
• Possess a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
