Armed Security Guard

Job Overview

Pierce Tactical Security is seeking dependable and professional Armed Security Officers for an ongoing retail loss-prevention assignment.

The officer will maintain a visible security presence inside the store, help deter theft and disruptive behavior, monitor activity, respond to safety and security concerns, and complete accurate reports. Officers must remain alert, professional, and customer-service oriented throughout the shift.

Duties

• Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence inside the store
• Patrol assigned areas and monitor for theft, suspicious activity, safety hazards, and disruptive behavior
• Support the store’s loss-prevention efforts while following client post orders
• Observe and report incidents without interfering with normal store operations
• Use professional communication and de-escalation techniques when addressing conflicts
• Contact store management, Dispatch, emergency services, or law enforcement when required
• Complete accurate daily activity reports and detailed incident reports
• Protect employees, customers, property, and company assets
• Remain attentive and on post throughout the assigned shift
• Follow all firearm laws, company policies, and client procedures
• Maintain a clean uniform and professional appearance

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Armed Security Guard License
• Current Washington State Security Guard License
• Current firearm qualification
• Legally owned and authorized duty weapon and required equipment
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Previous armed security, retail security, loss prevention, military, or law-enforcement experience preferred
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Must pass required background and employment screening
• Must be dependable and available for daytime, evening, and weekend shifts

Schedule

Full-time and part-time schedules are available. Expected hours are approximately 30 to 40 hours per week, including weekends.

Pay: $27.00 - $30.00 per hour
