Position Overview

We are seeking professional, reliable, and highly motivated Armed Security Guards to join our team for school morning assignments and weekend security at houses of worship.

The ideal candidate is friendly, approachable, and community-minded, while maintaining strong situational awareness, discipline, professionalism, and focus. Our guards are often the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, congregants, and visitors, so we are looking for individuals who can provide a strong security presence while treating everyone with respect.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must have all of the following:

• Valid California BSIS Guard Card
• Valid BSIS Exposed Firearm Permit
• Required additional 32 hours of BSIS security training certificates
• Current and valid training documentation
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain alert and focused throughout the entire shift
• Ability to follow post orders, company policies, and supervisor instructions
• Strong judgment, discipline, and situational awareness

SHOOTING EVALUATION

As part of the hiring process, applicants for armed positions will be required to complete a shooting evaluation to demonstrate safe and proficient firearm handling.

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Safe firearm handling
• Proper range safety procedures
• Safe loading and unloading practices
• Accuracy and proficiency appropriate for the assignment
• Ability to follow instructions and maintain discipline while armed

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a visible and professional armed security presence
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and surrounding property
• Control access and monitor visitors when required
• Identify and report suspicious activity or security concerns
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and security incidents
• Maintain awareness of students, staff, congregants, and visitors
• Follow all site-specific post orders and security procedures
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other security personnel
• Complete required incident reports and shift documentation
• Maintain professional conduct at all times
• Assist with emergency procedures and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency personnel when necessary

Pay: $25.00 - $27.50 per hour
