Armed Security Guard

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises using CCTV surveillance systems and physical patrols to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Control access points using advanced access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for authorized personnel, visitors, and contractors
• Respond promptly to incidents by performing conflict de-escalation techniques, managing conflicts professionally, and ensuring safety for all parties involved
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy
• Operate firearms, Tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and other security equipment following strict safety protocols
• Perform background checks on new employees or visitors as part of the security screening process
• Execute emergency response procedures including first aid, CPR, AED operation, fire safety protocols, and heavy lifting when necessary to assist emergency responders or evacuate personnel

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles with knowledge of physical security practices and surveillance technology such as CCTV systems
• Valid firearm handling certification and familiarity with Taser use in accordance with legal regulations
• Strong background in law enforcement or military service is highly desirable
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
• Excellent incident report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and emergency response procedures is required
• Demonstrated conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively
• Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and performing background checks when needed
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods, patrol large areas, and respond swiftly during emergencies
