Schedule: Part time | Shifts varies | Location: St. Louis, MO | Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Job Summary

BKI Services is seeking experienced and reliable Armed Security Guards to protect designated people, property, and assets. Candidates must possess a valid St. Louis armed card and demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to respond effectively to security incidents. Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience is preferred.

Qualifications – Armed Security Guard

Required

• Valid St. Louis Armed Guard Card
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Relevant firearms licensing and training
• Clear criminal record and ability to pass a background check
• No felony convictions, domestic violence convictions, or any status prohibiting firearm possession
• Active drivers license
• Reliable transportation
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and in varying weather conditions

Preferred

• Prior military, law enforcement, or security experience
• At least one year of armed or unarmed security experience

Responsibilities – Armed Security Guard

• Protect assigned individuals, property, facilities, and assets from unauthorized activity, vandalism, harassment, and other threats
• Patrol assigned areas by foot and/or vehicle and remain alert for suspicious activity
• Monitor CCTV systems, alarms, access points, and security equipment
• Control facility access and maintain visitor logs when required
• Secure buildings, doors, gates, windows, and other designated areas
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, security incidents, and potentially dangerous situations
• Provide escorts for employees and visitors as needed
• Coordinate with law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel during emergencies
• Investigate incidents, remove trespassers, and take appropriate action when authorized
• Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate documentation
• Maintain firearms, equipment, and uniforms in accordance with company standards
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and applicable state laws
• Testify in court when required
