Armed Security Guard (RETAIL)

Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and professional Armed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrolling, conflict de-escalation, and emergency response. This role requires excellent customer service skills, adherence to security regulations, and the ability to handle challenging situations with composure and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, employees, and clients while maintaining a secure environment
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including incidents requiring conflict resolution or law enforcement intervention
• De-escalate conflicts and manage tense situations with professionalism and tact
• Enforce security policies and comply with all relevant security regulations and protocols
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual occurrences
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential threats or unlawful activities
• Operate security equipment such as surveillance cameras, alarm systems, and communication devices

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security or law enforcement preferred; previous experience as an Armed Security Guard is highly desirable
• Valid armed security license or certification as required by local regulations
• Strong understanding of physical security measures and emergency response procedures
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and conflict de-escalation
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively
• Good written communication skills for incident report documentation
• Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond swiftly when needed
