Armed Security Officer

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. This role requires a professional with experience in physical security, firearm handling, and emergency procedures to maintain a secure environment while providing excellent service.

Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches
• Handle firearms responsibly and in accordance with all safety regulations and legal requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service to visitors, staff, and clients while maintaining security protocols
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, including incidents requiring first aid or CPR
• Implement emergency response procedures effectively during crises or security threats
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security-related events or concerns
• Enforce security regulations and company policies consistently across all areas of responsibility
• Maintain a visible presence to deter potential threats and ensure a safe environment

Skills

• Proven experience in physical security and firearm handling with proper licensing and training
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and decisive under pressure during emergency situations
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR certification preferred
• Familiarity with security regulations, compliance standards, and incident report writing
• Vigilant attention to detail with the ability to identify potential risks or hazards quickly
• Physical fitness suitable for patrolling duties and responding swiftly when needed
• Must be 21

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 80.0 per week
