Position Summary

KH Executive Security Consultants is currently hiring experienced Armed Security Officers for active client assignments throughout the Memphis area.

We are looking for dependable, professional candidates who can provide a strong security presence, interact appropriately with clients and the public, recognize potential security concerns, and respond effectively when incidents occur.

Assignments may include corporate facilities, commercial properties, residential locations, special events, and high-profile client environments.

Compensation varies by assignment and is based on experience, availability, schedule, and level of responsibility.

Essential Duties

Armed Security Officers may be responsible for:

• Providing a professional and visible armed security presence
• Conducting interior and exterior patrols
• Performing foot and vehicle patrols as assigned
• Monitoring entrances, exits, parking areas, CCTV systems, and alarms
• Controlling access for employees, visitors, vendors, and guests
• Identifying suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns
• Responding to incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergencies
• Coordinating with supervisors, client representatives, law enforcement, fire, or EMS when necessary
• Completing accurate daily activity and incident reports
• Following company policies, client post orders, and site-specific procedures

Minimum Requirements

Candidates must:

• Possess a current and valid Tennessee Armed Security Guard license
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Have reliable transportation
• Be legally eligible to possess and carry a firearm
• Successfully complete required firearms qualifications
• Pass a criminal background check
• Pass a drug screening
• Be able to communicate professionally with clients, employees, visitors, and the public

Candidates should also have at least one of the following backgrounds:

• 3+ years of law enforcement experience
• 3+ years of military police or military security experience
• 5+ years of corrections or detention experience
• 10+ years of professional armed security experience

Preferred Experience

Preference may be given to applicants with:

• Supervisory or team-lead experience
• Executive protection experience
• High-profile or VIP security experience
• Corporate or commercial security experience
• CCTV or surveillance monitoring experience
• CPR, First Aid, or AED certification

Scheduling

Current assignments may include:

• Day shifts
• Evening shifts
• Overnight shifts
• Weekdays
• Weekends
• Special events

Candidates with flexible availability may have access to a greater number of assignments.

Health insurance coverage is cost-shared and is not covered at 100% by the company.
