Job Description

Pioneer Investigation Services is seeking experienced and dependable Texas Level III Commissioned Security Officers for an armed security assignment at a faith based community facility in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.

We are looking for officers who understand that professional security is more than standing at a post. The right candidate will be observant, dependable, respectful, calm under pressure, and capable of interacting professionally with families, children, elderly community members, staff, volunteers, and visitors.

This position requires excellent judgment, strong communication skills, professional appearance, and strict adherence to Pioneer policies, post orders, and chain of command.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain a professional and visible armed security presence
• Conduct interior and exterior security patrols
• Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, and other designated locations
• Identify and report suspicious activity or safety concerns
• Assist with access control and crowd management when required
• Respond professionally to disturbances, emergencies, and security incidents
• Use verbal de-escalation whenever appropriate
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports
• Maintain radio communication with other security personnel
• Follow all site-specific post orders and Pioneer policies
• Maintain a respectful and welcoming environment while keeping security as the primary responsibility

Minimum Requirements

• Current Texas Commissioned Security Officer credential / Level III qualification
• Legally eligible to perform armed security duties
• Reliable transportation
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional appearance and communication skills
• Ability to stand, walk, and conduct patrols for extended periods
• Ability to work assigned evenings and/or weekends when required
• Ability to pass Pioneer’s interview, background screening, credential verification, and security assessment
• Must comply with Pioneer uniform and equipment standards

Texas DPS identifies the armed credential as a Commissioned Security Officer license, for which Level II and Level III training are required. Armed work cannot be performed under the state's provisions allowing certain applicants to work before licensure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous armed-security experience
• House-of-worship, school, community-center, or high-traffic facility experience
• Strong de-escalation and customer-service skills
• Strong incident-report writing
• Prior supervisory or lead-security experience
• Demonstrated history of dependable employment

Selected applicants will complete a structured interview and Pioneer security assessment before final placement.

Compensation
$21-$25 per hour, depending on qualifications and assignment responsibilities.

This is a W-2 position. Employer-sponsored benefits are not currently offered.

Lead assignments and increased responsibility may be considered for officers who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and leadership.
