Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to safeguard our premises, personnel, and assets. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive patrols, surveillance, and access control. Your expertise in conflict management, emergency response, and security procedures will ensure the safety of all individuals on site. Duties

• Conduct regular patrols of the facility using surveillance equipment and physical inspections to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security threats
• Control access points utilizing advanced access control systems, verifying identities and performing background checks as necessary
• Respond promptly to security incidents, emergencies, or alarms by implementing established emergency response procedures
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or suspicious activities with clarity and accuracy
• Operate firearm handling equipment responsibly, including Tasers and other non-lethal tools like AEDs and CPR devices, ensuring readiness at all times
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to resolve disputes peacefully while maintaining safety for all parties involved
• Perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when required for security setups or emergency situations

Experience

• Prior experience in military service or law enforcement is highly desirable, providing a strong foundation in security protocols and emergency procedures
• Demonstrated proficiency in surveillance technology, CCTV monitoring, and access control systems
• Certification in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use is preferred to effectively respond to medical emergencies
• Proven ability to handle physical security responsibilities such as patrolling premises and performing background checks with integrity and professionalism
• Experience managing conflict situations with effective de-escalation skills while adhering to compliance regulations governing security practices

Pay: $40.00 - $60.00 per hour
