Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our designated premises. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance, access control, and emergency response. Your expertise in law enforcement procedures, conflict management, and security protocols will ensure the safety of personnel, property, and assets. Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patrols of the facility using CCTV systems, surveillance equipment, and physical security checks to identify potential threats or irregularities.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities and authorize entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
• Perform background checks on new personnel or vendors to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Handle emergency situations by executing fire safety procedures, operating AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), Taser devices, and administering first aid or CPR when required.
• Maintain high standards of physical security through patrolling, heavy lifting, manual handling, and ensuring the integrity of security barriers and fences.
• Enforce security regulations by performing routine inspections, monitoring CCTV footage, and documenting all activities accurately.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, military service, law enforcement or related fields with knowledge of surveillance techniques and physical security measures.
• Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, firearm handling, Taser use, and conflict de-escalation techniques.
• Familiarity with access control systems, CCTV operation, incident report writing, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and manual handling tasks safely while maintaining alertness during long shifts.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations professionally.
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
• Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and performing background checks as part of screening processes.
