Global Defense Security Group, a veteran and police officer owned and operated security company, is seeking a dependable, professional Armed Security Officer for a shopping center assignment. We are looking for someone who remains alert, exercises sound judgment, and maintains a visible security presence for tenants, employees, and shoppers.

Job Responsibilities

• Remain alert and attentive throughout the entire shift.
• Conduct regular foot patrols of storefronts, common areas, parking lots, and other assigned areas.
• Monitor for suspicious activity, unauthorized access, disturbances, and safety concerns.
• Refrain from personal phone use while on duty, except for emergencies or authorized work-related communication.
• Address concerns professionally and use de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Respond promptly to incidents and contact supervisors or emergency services as necessary.
• Complete accurate daily activity and incident reports.
• Follow site-specific post orders and company policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and provide courteous assistance to tenants and visitors.

Required Qualifications

• Must already hold a current, valid Texas commissioned security officer license (Level III).
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must have a working smartphone for scheduling, reporting, and work-related communication.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Must possess strong communication skills, sound judgment, and self-control.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, including outdoor patrols.
• Must follow all applicable firearm laws and company policies.

Prior military or law enforcement personnel are encouraged to apply.
