Armed Security Officer

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including building interiors, exteriors, and restricted areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
• Operate access control systems to verify credentials and manage entry points for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Monitor CCTV surveillance footage continuously to detect suspicious activity or security breaches, responding promptly as needed.
• Respond effectively to emergencies by following established procedures for fire safety, medical incidents, or security threats; perform first aid, CPR, AED operation, or use of Taser equipment when necessary.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting any security breaches, accidents, or unusual activities with clarity and accuracy for future review.
• Perform background checks on new personnel or visitors when required to ensure compliance with security policies.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques to handle confrontations professionally while maintaining safety for all parties involved.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service or related fields demonstrating strong physical security knowledge.
• Valid firearm handling certification and proficiency in Taser use are essential for this role.
• Demonstrated ability in surveillance techniques including CCTV operation and monitoring of access control systems.
• First aid certification including CPR and AED operation is required; experience in emergency response procedures is highly valued.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
• Excellent incident report writing skills with attention to detail and clarity.
• Strong conflict management skills with a focus on de-escalation strategies in high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of compliance with security regulations and safety standards applicable in various environments.

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
