Armed Security Officer

Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Armed Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our premises. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for protecting personnel, property, and assets through proactive surveillance, access control, and emergency response. Your expertise in law enforcement, security procedures, and conflict management will ensure a secure environment while providing excellent customer service to visitors and staff alike. Duties

• Conduct thorough patrols of the facility using surveillance techniques and physical security measures to deter threats and identify hazards.
• Manage access control systems to verify identities, perform background checks, and regulate entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
• Respond swiftly to incidents by writing detailed incident reports, managing conflicts through de-escalation tactics, and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary.
• Operate firearms, Tasers, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and other security equipment following strict safety protocols.
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for security setups or emergency situations.
• Enforce security regulations by conducting searches, inspections, and ensuring compliance with policies.
• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting visitors, answering inquiries professionally, and maintaining a welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience in security roles with knowledge of physical security practices and surveillance systems.
• Background in military or law enforcement is highly desirable for understanding tactical procedures.
• Certification in first aid, CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), AED operation, and Taser use is required; additional training in fire safety and emergency response procedures is preferred.
• Ability to perform background checks and conduct thorough screenings as part of access control responsibilities.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to de-escalate tense situations effectively.
• Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting tasks and patrol duties over extended periods.
• Familiarity with incident report writing, compliance with security regulations, and performing routine patrolling activities.
• Excellent communication skills combined with a professional demeanor to deliver top-tier customer service under pressure.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 50.0 per week
