Armed Security Officer Full Time

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our security team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment across various sites by utilizing your expertise in physical security, surveillance, and emergency response. Duties

• Conduct thorough patrols of assigned premises using CCTV systems and physical inspections to monitor for suspicious activity or security breaches.
• Control access points utilizing advanced access control systems, verifying identities, performing background checks when necessary, and managing visitor logs.
• Respond swiftly to incidents by executing emergency response procedures, including first aid, CPR, AED operation, and fire safety protocols.
• Manage conflict de-escalation techniques effectively while maintaining professionalism during tense situations.
• Write detailed incident reports documenting security breaches, accidents, or other occurrences with clarity and accuracy.
• Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, firearms (where authorized), CCTV surveillance tools, and fire alarm systems in compliance with regulations.
• Perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or securing premises.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in security roles with knowledge of physical security practices and surveillance technology.
• Background in military or law enforcement is highly desirable.
• Valid certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, and Taser use are required; additional certifications in firearm handling and conflict management are a plus.
• Strong understanding of security regulations, incident report writing standards, and emergency response procedures.
• Ability to perform background checks and operate access control systems efficiently.
• Excellent customer service skills with a professional demeanor under pressure.
• Physical fitness to handle heavy lifting tasks and patrol duties over extended periods.
