About the role

Responsible for managing, maintaining, and controlling firearm and ammunition transactions in accordance with legal requirements, while ensuring 100% operational readiness of Armed personnel.

Key responsibilities

• Register, record, maintain, store, and manage Company Armory inventory
• Conduct Company Armory inventory checks to ensure physical numbers of firearm and ammunition on shelves and in assignment tally with recorded entries in Company Armory Log Books and database
• Issue and receive firearm and ammunition to and from users, ensuring every transaction is carried out and recorded accordingly
• Ensure users have valid firearm license (C&U) and have obtained ADOM approval before issuing firearm and ammunition
• Ensure firearm and ammunition are safely and securely stored in Armory in an orderly, clean, and tidy manner in their proper designated place
• Ensure firearms and ammunition are stored in separate rooms and boxes
• Ensure Armory is clean, tidy, and ready for inspection at all times
• Ensure Armory interior, exterior, and surroundings are safe and secured from any threat, hazard, or danger that may affect the safety and security of stocks and people in it
• Control access to Armory via CCTV and by controlling the use, movement, taking over, and handing over of Armory keys to ensure Armory security is at the highest level
• Manage the issuance and return of Company Armory keys to ensure the Armory remains secured and under control at all times

About you

• Valid firearm license (C&U)
• Proficiency in handling firearms
• Knowledge of firearm laws, regulations, SOP, and Standing Instructions
• Ability to conduct firearm training for company staff
• Ability to investigate and report on firearm and ammunition damage, loss, or misuse
