Art Director

About The Role OMQ is looking for an experienced Art Director to lead the visual direction of our event, exhibition and stage design projects. Based in Cairo, you will translate approved concepts into precise execution, supervise our Senior 3D and Senior 2D designers, and ensure every final output is coherent, premium and fully aligned with the concept and brand direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Study the approved concept, mood, materials, lighting, geometry and brand direction for each project.
• Translate creative direction into clear execution instructions and creative briefs for the Senior 3D and Senior 2D designers.
• Review daily work, provide feedback and correct deviations early to reduce rework and keep projects on schedule.
• Improve visual composition, materials, texturing, shading, lighting, camera angles and overall atmosphere of 3D visualizations and renders.
• Ensure visual consistency, quality control and brand alignment across all final outputs.
• Lead look development (LookDev) and moodboards to guide the team toward photorealistic, premium results.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support client presentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Fine Arts, Visual Communication or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in 3D visualization, art direction or creative direction, with at least 2 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven experience in event design, exhibition design, stage design, booth design, brand activations, scenography or architectural visualization (ArchViz).
• Strong eye for composition, lighting design, materials, color grading and cinematic framing.
• Advanced knowledge of 3ds Max, Cinema 4D or Blender, with V-Ray, Corona Renderer, Redshift or Octane.
• Familiarity with Unreal Engine, Lumion or Enscape is a plus.
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, Illustrator and InDesign for post-production and compositing.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating photorealistic rendering and premium event or spatial design work.
