Art Studio Assistant Manager - Graffiti Studio

Location: Holtsville, NY
Position: Part-Time Assistant Studio Manager
Weekend Availability Required

Graff Lab Studio is looking for a dependable, outgoing Assistant Studio Manager to join our team at our Holtsville location — the original Graff Lab Studio.

Our Holtsville studio hosts birthday parties, workshops, and private events in a smaller, more personal setting. We’re looking for someone who is confident working with both kids and adults, can take the lead during events, and is comfortable helping manage the day-to-day flow of the studio.

This is a hands-on position. Our Assistant Studio Managers work directly with guests and staff while making sure events stay organized, on schedule, and up to Graff Lab standards.

What You’ll Do

As an Assistant Studio Manager, you’ll help oversee events and studio operations throughout your shift. Responsibilities include:

• Helping lead birthday parties, workshops, and private events from start to finish
• Greeting hosts and communicating with families throughout their event
• Leading and assisting with graffiti painting workshops
• Directing Event Staff and delegating tasks during shifts
• Making sure events remain on schedule
• Overseeing event setup, food service, cleanup, and room resets
• Handling basic customer questions and concerns as they arise
• Making sure the studio remains clean, organized, and properly stocked
• Preparing supplies and materials for upcoming events
• Assisting with inventory and communicating supply needs
• Following Graff Lab procedures and helping ensure staff are doing the same
• Stepping in wherever needed to keep the studio running smoothly

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Confident taking the lead and giving direction when needed
• Friendly and comfortable communicating with parents, children, and staff
• Dependable, organized, and punctual
• Able to stay calm and problem-solve when things don’t go exactly as planned
• Comfortable managing multiple responsibilities at once
• Willing to be hands-on with events, cleaning, setup, and breakdown
• Able to work independently while also being part of a team
• Available to work weekends

Previous experience in customer service, events, childcare, camps, recreation, hospitality, or a similar environment is preferred.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience is strongly preferred.

Willingness to occasionally assist at other Graff Lab Studio locations is a plus.

No art or graffiti experience is required. We provide training on our workshops, projects, booking system, event procedures, and studio operations.

About Graff Lab Studio

Graff Lab Studio is an interactive graffiti and street-art studio where guests create their own custom projects using spray paint, stencils, and different graffiti techniques.

Holtsville is our original location and offers a smaller studio environment with more intimate events. Our Assistant Studio Manager plays an important role in making sure each event feels organized, welcoming, and consistent with the Graff Lab experience.

If you have strong customer service skills, enjoy working with kids, and are ready to take on more responsibility in a creative event environment, we’d love to hear from you.
