Art Teacher

POSITION SUMMARY

Créatif Mobile Studio is looking for a creative, energetic, and dependable Mobile Art Teacher to lead engaging art activities at off-site events and programs. The Mobile Art Teacher will travel to schools, birthday parties, community events, corporate team-building events, and private gatherings to lead fun, hands-on art experiences for children and adults.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people of different ages and backgrounds, has a strong interest in art, and can confidently lead groups in a fun, organized, and positive environment. The teacher will follow Créatif's provided curriculum and activity instructions while encouraging participants to explore their creativity and create their own masterpieces.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and instruct art activities including painting, canvas art, clay/modeling, crafts, slime, and other creative projects.
• Travel to customer locations and arrive on time and prepared for each event.
• Set up art stations, supplies, materials, and activity areas before each session.
• Provide clear, step-by-step instructions and demonstrations throughout the activity.
• Guide children and adults through the creative process while encouraging individual creativity.
• Follow Créatif's provided curriculum, project instructions, and event guidelines.
• Interact positively and professionally with children, parents, teachers, school staff, customers, and event hosts.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment during all activities.
• Properly instruct participants on the safe use of art supplies and equipment.
• Actively supervise participants and maintain awareness of safety throughout the event.
• Manage groups effectively and maintain a fun but organized environment, even during busy events.
• Adjust teaching style and activity instructions based on the age and skill level of participants.
• Be comfortable working with different age groups, including young children, school-age children, teens, and adults.
• Assist with customer questions and provide excellent customer service.
• Work independently at mobile events with minimal supervision.
• Maintain accurate attendance and event records when required.
• Clean, organize, and pack all supplies and equipment after each event.
• Ensure the event area is left clean and orderly.
• Communicate any supply, equipment, customer, or event concerns to management.
• Represent Créatif professionally at schools, community events, parties, and corporate events.
• Promote a positive and creative experience for every participant.
• Perform other duties related to mobile events as assigned.

EVENT & TRAVEL RESPONSIBILITIES

Because this is a mobile position, the candidate must be comfortable traveling to different event locations.

Mobile events may include:

• Children's birthday parties
• School programs and after-school activities
• Camps and workshops
• Community events and festivals
• Corporate team-building events
• Private gatherings
• Family events and celebrations

The Mobile Art Teacher may be responsible for transporting and handling art supplies and event equipment as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience as an art instructor, teacher, camp counselor, activity leader, or working with children is preferred.
• Art education, drawing, painting, crafts, or related experience is preferred.
• High school or college-level art experience is a plus.
• Ability to understand and effectively implement an art curriculum.
• Experience working in a child-friendly environment preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Comfortable speaking to and leading groups.
• Creative, enthusiastic, patient, and approachable personality.
• Ability to work independently and take initiative.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Comfortable working in a variety of environments and event settings.
• Basic computer and technology skills.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to event locations.

REQUIRED PHYSICAL ABILITIES

• Must be able to lift and carry approximately 30–40 lbs.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, kneel, scoop, and move around during events.
• Ability to set up and pack up art supplies and equipment.
• Ability to safely transport supplies to and from mobile event locations.

SCHEDULE

• Part-time position
• Weekday and weekend availability preferred
• Event schedules may vary based on customer bookings
• Some evening and weekend availability may be required
• Flexible availability is a plus, particularly for birthday parties and community events

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Pay: $18.25 - $19.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6.0 – 10.0 per week
